Editorial
(this is a pre-test listing based on reasonable expectation of processor, battery, charging and imaging performance) In a way we grew to expect from Samsung, they put out Z Flip 8 with no innovation and essentially no improvement. It comes with the latest (this year's) processor - that and new colors are the only improvements over Z Flip 7. Oh, and an extra $100 at lounch so there's that.
PROs
fast SD 8 Elite Gen 5 (or Exynos 2600) with UFS 4.0 performance, 2 >1400 bright 400ppi 120Hz LTPO AMOLED HDR10+ screens (the outer one is sub-400ppi), immersible IP48 protection, reliable 50MP 23mm OIS PDAF main + 12MP 13mm ultrawide setup, rich and stabile OS with a 7 year update promise, DeX included, fast USB-C 3.2 port
CONs
same design but wider then last year, same 4300mAh lithium battery with barely a day of endurance and slow >90min 25W (15W wireless) charging, same 10MP 23mm non-AF selfie (but you'll use the main camera), same average video recording, no expandable memory, Samsung's persistent effort to lock its customers into their ecosystem
