Editorial
(this is a pre-test listing based on reasonable expectation of battery, charging and imaging tech) Motorola is happy to try different things and it's middle model has shifted size and target audience a lot: from 7.9mm thickness 2 versions ago, to 6mm in the last iteration, to now back to standard (7.2mm) thickness. The build remains excellent and includes full protection from dropps and elements. Screen is bright and sharp, camera improved with addition of a tele lenses and PDAF to selfie.
PROs
very good build, good Dimensity 7450 with UFS 3.1 performance, >30hr endurance from a 5000mAh Si-C battery with sub-60min 68W (15W wireless) charging, >1400nits bright 460ppi 120Hz AMOLED screen with HDR10+ with very thin bezels, full IP69 with military standard impact protection, very reliable 50MP 24mm OIS main + 10MP 73mm OIS telephoto + 50MP 12mm ultrawide (all with PDAF) back setup, very good 50MP 21mm PDAF selfie, very good video recording, 4 years of stabile and feature rich stock-like Hello OS and a basic desktop replacement functionality, AI button
CONs
frame is plastic again, low frequency PWM dimming on a non-LTPO screen, no expandable memory, slow USB-C 2.0 port (tho has OTG)
