Verdict
Dutch Fairphone brand's 6th gen phone is their best argument for sustainability and fair product manufacturing. It comes with a 4nm 2024 Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, removable battery, modern LTPO screen and a decent front and back camera setup - everything but the processor is completely upgradable and mostly future proof! Fairphone market availability is like Google Pixel's: seemingly random and very limited. But the phone is very unique and punches above it's weight (and score)
PROs
unique and very repairable - get the spare parts and upgrade directly from the maker! Designed to be modular and future proof it comes with midrange SD 7s Gen 3, UFS 3.1, >30hr endurance from a 4415mAh lithium (removable) battery with 30W charging (no wireless), 430ppi 120Hz LTPO OLED screen, IP55 (rain splash level) + MIL standard impact (up to 1.5m drops) protection, reliable 50MP OIS PDAF main + 13MP PDAF ultrawide + TOF 3D sensor setup, average 32MP AF selfie, average video recording, SD card slot, up to 8 years of stock like Android updates (industry leading)
CONs
thick at 9.6mm, midrange processor with questionable ability to carry 8 years of OS updates, only sub-900nits of screen brightness, no desktop replacement functionality, slow USB-C 2.0 port and reported Bluetooth related software bugs, limited market availability
