Editorial

Motorola's top foldable phone is the flip phone to beat: great package includes everything you need except for a limited battery life (which most foldables struggle with). This one has great build, submersible IP protection, excellent screens and a triple 50MP camera system that misses a tele lens but delivers great pics and very good videos.

PROs
great proportions and flagship build, great SD 8 Elite with UFS 4.0 performance, sub-60min 68W (30W wireless) charging, two excellent 165Hz 1500nits >400ppi LTPO AMOLED screens with Dolby Vision, (immersible) IP48 protection, excellent photos and selfies from 50MP 24mm OIS main + 50MP 12mm ultrawide (both with PDAF) setup, feature and AI tricks rich stock-Android-like HelloUI, desktop replacement functionality
CONs
heavy throttling under load, sub-24hr endurance from a smallish 4700mAh lithium battery, no expandable memory, only 3 years of OS updates, slow USB-C 2.0 port
