Verdict

6 months after Honor 300 comes a big upgrade: loaded to the broom with cool new AI features in MagicOS 9 that comes with a promise of 6 OS updates - on a midranger! A 200MP main and a 50MP ultrawide produce great photos in most conditions and the selfie output is above it's class too. 400 comes with very average 7 Gen 3 chip that deliveries very good battery endurance despite lack of LTPO and minimally dynamic screen refresh performance.

PROs
attractive design with camera bump reminiscent of Pura phones, good SD 7 Gen 3 with UFS 3.1 performance, >30hr endurance from a 6000mAh Si-C battery (5300mAh in EU) with sub-60min 80W charging (66W in EU), excellent >1500nits bright 460ppi sharp AMOLED screen with HDR10+, very good imaging from a 200MP PDAF main + 50MP AF ultrawide, very good 50MP selfie, excellent & feature rich (AI and otherwise) MagicOS with a promise of 6 years of updates
CONs
plastic frame, no LTPO, screen refresh performance is very basic, only IP65 (no water immersion) protection, poor ultrawide video recording performance, no expandable memory or desktop replacement functionality, slow USB-C 2.0 port (tho has OTG)
