Asus has added this Zenfone Ultra in 2024 and in 2025 they put away itâs more compact (and more interesting) smaller model. So it looks like they gave up on the âcompact phoneâ idea and are turning towards more crowded and stiffer competition space. This, first Ultra of theirs was a good effort. (It you can still find it)
PROs
good SD 8 Gen 3 performance, great 2-day battery endurance with fast (40 minute to 100%) charging, bright 144Hz refresh rate screen, IP68 water protection.
CONs
76.8mm & 228gr size, not-so-Ultra-photo and video performance, no expandable storage, no desktop replacement software and just two years of OS updates policy. (updated Apr 2, 2025)
